Welcome to the St. Joseph Worker Program!

We are still accepting applications for Program Year 2013-2014.

We have a few spots remaining that we hope to fill.  Are you interested in Legal Services? Housing issues? Theater for social change and everyone? Apply to be a SJW today!

The St. Joseph Worker Program is a one year volunteer experience for women who are passionate about social change. St. Joseph Workers (SJWs) commit to a year of service during which they delve into the core values of justice, leadership, spirituality, and living simply in an intentional community. Program sites in St Paul/Minneapolis-MN, Los Angeles- CA, Wichita-KS and Albany-NY.

The St. Joseph Worker Program is sponsored by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet. Since 1650, these women have followed the Gospel call to make known God's love in the midst of the world. Their life together leads them to work for social justice and to "love and serve God and neighbor without distinction." As our mission communicates, the St. Joseph Worker Program empowers women committed to social change to respond to the needs of the times.

New Opportunity! Are you a woman, 30-45, who is bilingual in Spanish and English and interested in working with the Spanish speaking community? We have a special opportunity partnering with Casa Guadalupana, in their outreach and housing work in West St Paul. Contact us for more information.
