Justice

For centuries, the Sisters of St. Joseph have stood for justice in class, race and gender equality. They serve the dear neighbor through ministries in health care, immigration, education and social change. Each St. Joseph Worker spends thirty six hours a week in her work placement where she gains practical experience and development. Each woman learns about the "two feet of justice" which include direct service and systemic action.

As a community, the workers can participate in systemic action, attend peaceful demonstrations, and are invited to connect with places and communities they might never have known before. Every woman in the program is mentored and supported in her own passion for justice, and given the chance to explore the change she would like to make in the world.
