| | | Second Year ResidencyAfter serving for one year in the Twin Cities, a St. Joseph Worker might decide to renew her commitment to the program for a second year. We realize that second year volunteers have increased skills-- so no second year experience is exactly the same as the first. We call it a "Second Year Residency"
Residencies may take place in the Twin Cities or in other parts of the country or the world. Residencies have increased accountibility and responsibility, more self-structured time, and more variability than a first year experience. We have sent St. Joseph Worker residents to places such as Hawaii, the United Nations in New York City, and India. Other possible placements include the White Violet Center for Eco-Justice in Indiana; Annunciation House in El Paso, Texas; Los Angeles, California; the CSJ Vice-Province in Peru, and many other places where we have CSJ connections. | |
