Spirituality

Women share in the spirituality of the Sisters of St. Joseph: love of God and neighbor without distinction. This central principal extends beyond religious denomination, to mean that all living beings are recognized as sacred, and deserving of our love and respect. Love of God and neighbor without distinction is the foundation that moves us into social action.

Throughout the year, St. Joseph Workers move more deeply into their own spirituality, through many of the opportunities and events depicted above. Through weekly Sharing of the Heart gatherings- a spiritual time to enter into deep reflection and sharing, quarterly retreats, monthly group training days, and personal practices, St. Joseph Workers are given the chance to reflect on their work and inner transformation. Many St. Joseph Workers also choose to have a spiritual director to help guide them on their path. The strong commitment to an evolving spirituality is what makes this program so transformative.
